About Us:
PTSD Dogs Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that rescues suitable dogs from various refuges and trains them to be assistance dogs for military and first responder personnel who have been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of their service. We believe these people have given plenty to our community and it is time to give back and support them in their need.
The Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic people with great interpersonal skills to assist with the manning of our Eumundi Market stall. This market stand is our main fund raising platform which we rely on to raise the money needed to keep the charity going.
Tasks/activities of the position include;
- Assisting with set up and display of merchandise
- Talking with the public to educate them on what we do
- Sales of merchandise
- Packing up after the market
Requirements:
The role is market days which are Wednesday and Saturday. Ideally you will be available to man the stand for a full market (7am to 2pm) however even if you can only manage a few hours once a month it would be a great help. There are always dogs on display so you get to cuddle them for free while you are there.
Please outline your availability in your application.
